Inspired by the artwork of Anthony Burrill and the ridiculousness of Karl Pilkington's mind I have explored typography through woodblock printing. With Burrill's passion and enjoyment for hand-generated printmaking, his book 'Make it Now!' Is a life-affirming guide to new thinking, creative problem solving and getting things done. Full of inspiration and ideas that encouraged me to have fun and make what I wanted in the print studio.
I produced several printmaking outcomes for a printed poster design, and later worked on further refining these results in Photoshop to create a booklet of phrases by Karl. This was then printed and available for the public to view at the D&AD New Blood Festival in London.
